There are many opportunities for your donation to be truly meaningful. Find below a short introduction to a few of the numerous projects that our community is currently running.

Thank you for your support!

KINSHASA STREET CHILDREN

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a country with huge natural resources but ruined by conflict, bad governance, and corruption. More and more children find themselves on the street, left to their own devices. The Chemin Neuf community has various projects to combat this problem. Ndako Ya Biso (which means “Our House” in Lingala) is a center for street children who welcome older boys and help younger boys to readapt and reconnect with their families. Bethany House is an equivalent program for young girls.

To make this project happen:

  • Reintegration program cost (reconnecting a young person with their family): $189/per year/per child
  • Enrolment of a child in primary school: $95 /per year/per child.
  • Professional training of a young person: $227 /per year/per young person.

CHILDREN OF MANILA

The ‘Tutorial Center’ of Chemin Neuf in Manila, Philippines, serves underprivileged children from 7 to 21 years old in the local neighborhood. Its mission is to give children who have left the school system a chance to reintegrate into the learning process. For other children, it will support them in their online studies to prevent them from dropping out of school, especially with the fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.

CANA INTERNATIONAL

For more than 40 years, Cana has been running sessions for couples and families in all parts of the world. The latest countries that have been welcoming Cana include India and China.

Thanks to your support, senior members of Cana can travel the world and share the amazing experience of Cana, as well as training local leaders and investing in new ressources.

HAUTECOMBE DISCIPLESHIP SCHOOL

For over 900 years, generations of religious have prayed at Hautecombe Abbey. In 1992, the Chemin Neuf Community took over at the request of the Archbishop of Chambéry, in order to continue the life of prayer and to welcome visitors.

The community chose to establish an international centre of formation for young people aged 18-30, in order to equip them to build foundations for their Christian life.

Every year young people from all over the world come to experience a particular moment

Every year young people from all over the world come to experience this foundation year of training and Christian discipleship. Your donation subsidises tuition for people coming from underprivileged countries or backgrounds.

Thanks to your support, this center will remain open to young people coming from unprivileged countries or unprivileged families.
